Allu Arjun and Atlee's 'Raaka' Sets a World Record, But Will the VFX Match Hollywood Standards ?

||

Superstar Allu Arjun and blockbuster director Atlee's upcoming movie 'Raaka' is already making headlines before its release. The film has just created a Guinness World Record during its shooting, thanks to its heavy use of motion capture technology.

The 37-People Motion Capture Record

The makers of 'Raaka' have set a new world record by tracking 37 people together at the same time using motion capture technology. To give you an idea of how big this is, James Cameron's massive Hollywood film 'Avatar' used this technology on 100 people, but they could only track 21 people successfully at once. 'Raaka' has crossed that number by tracking 37 actors simultaneously.

A behind-the-scenes (BTS) video has also been released by the makers. In this video, 37 people wearing motion capture suits are seen acting together. Some of them are behaving like monkeys and gorillas, while others are acting like huge birds or eagles. This clearly hints that we are going to see a lot of different creatures and animals in the movie created through VFX.

World Record is Great, But What About the Quality?

Creating a world record is a proud moment for Indian cinema. But the big question remains: will the actual VFX and CGI of the movie match Hollywood levels?

If we look at the past, many Indian movies have made huge claims about their VFX before release. Makers often talk about massive budgets and bringing in Hollywood technicians. The hype is built up to make fans think they will see a visual masterpiece. However, when these movies finally release in theaters, the CGI and VFX are often nowhere near Hollywood standards. The quality usually turns out to be very poor and disappointing.

Nowadays, the budgets of some Indian movies are even bigger than some Hollywood movies, but the final screen output still lacks that global finish.

Fans Await the Real Trailer

Every fan wants their favorite actor's movie to have a great story backed by top-class VFX and CGI. Right now, there is no official trailer, teaser, or actual movie footage of 'Raaka' out in the public. The promotions and world records sound very exciting, but the real test will be when the movie actually hits the screens.

We hope that just like they broke a world record during the shoot, the makers of 'Raaka' will also break records at the box office and deliver a visually stunning movie. We wish the entire team the very best!
