New anime style web series Ramayana Path of Dharma Trailer is finally out and it is grabbing everyone's attention. While the animation looks a bit like AI at first glance the details are actually very impressive. But what is really making news is the top level Hindi dubbing by some of India's biggest voice actors. This unique mix of Japanese anime style with the Indian epic is already becoming a big topic for fans searching for new shows on Google and social media.
The makers have brought in some of the best talents for the voice cast. Sanket Mhatre has given the voice for Lord Ram and Sonal Kaushal is the voice of Sita while Rajesh Kava has voiced Laxman. Rajesh Kava has also handled the entire Hindi dubbing process for the show. The creator of the series is actually a foreigner named Ruud from the Netherlands. He recently uploaded a behind the scenes video on his YouTube channel called Path of Wonders. In this video you can see Rajesh Kava talking about how they did the Hindi dubbing.
Originally the series was made in English but the makers have now dropped a 5 minute Hindi trailer as well. The trailer shows a young boy reading the Ramayana book before falling asleep. He then starts seeing the events of the Ramayana in his dream before waking up at the end. It is pretty clear that the makers have used this modern animation to connect with today's young generation because the youth in India watch and follow anime a lot these days.
When the trailer dropped there were some rumors that the background music was generated by AI. However the makers quickly clarified that the music is completely original and created by VFX and musical artist Subrata who has his own studio. The makers are also planning to release the official songs very soon. As for the release details season 1 will have 9 episodes but there is no official release date yet. It is still not confirmed if the series will stream directly on YouTube or if it will be launched on any OTT platform.
